The new helmet impact absorption technology from O’Neal is designed to reduce head injuries caused by low speed and rotational impacts during crashing.
The IPX® Absorption Cells (ACells) use a specially engineered polymer foam, developed to make our helmets some of the safest on the market in the event of a crash. 
IPX® ACells are positioned on the EPS (expanded polystyrene) liner on the inside of the helmet in small recesses, between the EPS and the comfort liner.
Every part of each individual IPX® ACells has been specifically engineered to work together to provide the ultimate in crash protection.
IPX® ACells are available in selected O’Neal helmet models and were developed in conjunction with multiple MTB Downhill World-Cup winner and multiple MTB Downhill World Champion Greg Minnaar.
Race-Ready: IPX® ACells do not affect the fitting of the helmet liner. Helmets with IPX® ACells do not bounce or move on the head during riding.
Enhanced-Forehead-Protection: The positioning of IPX® ACells enhances the performance for direct or oblique frontal impacts, using lots of individual components and positioning them more towards the front of the helmet.

The versatile O'Neal PIKE IPX helmet is perfect for various riding, whether on the trail, enduro, or freeriding. The Pike has Integrated IPX ACells, a helmet rotation impact-absorbing technology for maximum protection. It also features a unique `dual-flow` system with enlarged air slots for maximum air circulation.
We set out two years ago to develop the best-looking, safest, and best-fitting open-face MTB helmets on the market. The result delivers on our original aims, introducing the PIKE Helmet. The compact two-piece shell gives a well-proportioned look as well as two outer shell sizes alongside our new 3D Multi-Positioning System, giving the PIKE helmet an incredible fit, and offering adjustment up-down, front-rear, and open-close, delivering what feels like a truly tailored fit for all head shapes and sizes. The ratcheted visor allows on-the-fly adjustment. The topmost position gives plenty of room to rest goggles when not being used, tucked safely under the visor but off the face. We have incorporated our IPX® ACells helmet impact protection system, giving increased protection against rotational impact and low-speed impacts.
